Camera needs work

Great little game. Fun to play, but the camera needs to be behind the user and far enough away to see ahead at all times. The dynamic camera setting doesn’t allow for this and the fixed camera setting is difficult to use controls with.

Also, would be nice to be able to complete challenges during free skate.

5 stars otherwise.

Excellent Mobile Skating

This app is superbly designed for mobile devices. It has simple, elegant controls that make it perfect for people new to skateboarding games. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be challenging. It has enough depth to keep you engaged for quite a while. It has plenty of fun characters and a long list of tricks to be unlocked as you improve your skating skills.

It’s not intended to compete with the super complex, high-end console skate games. It’s meant to be more accessible, for when you want a quick mobile skating fix, and I’ve been loving it.

It’s got some minor issues that need fixing. Like sometimes it doesn’t register completed tricks. You might have to repeat the same trick 2 or 3 times in a row before you get credit for it, which can be frustrating when it’s a difficult trick. But overall the game is beautifully designed. The small file size is a reflection of how cleanly these 3D environments were coded.

Everyone has features they’d like to see added to the game, myself included, but the more complex you make the game, the more you reduce its simple charm. Of course nobody would complain if new content is added in future updates.
Definitely worth 5 bucks and 5 stars.
