Jay Funktastic ,

Volume Control has been restored!

This is absolutely one of the best and easy to use soundboards I've ever used.

Thanks Jay!

It works, but that's it.

The interface is very un-Mac like and especially if you have a non-retina Mac, this app will frustrate you since the interface won't fit on the screen of a 13" Macbook Pro.

Along with having no "time remaining" countdown option for audio files playing, the display of the elapsed time is so tiny it's almost unreadable. The useful audio duck functionaliy is buried away in a "settings" menu, and in another settings menu (yes, there are two) it manages to show that it's copied every audio file you ever used for a soundboard but then only give you the option to delete them. What's the point of that?

While this app does what it needs to do (Play audio files) the rest of the interface needs a lot of work.

Every Update Makes It Worse

I loved this app when it first came out. It was simple and required no adjustments. However, with each subsequent update, it's become more complicated and frustrating to use. It will no longer default to QWERTY and so I have to change it every time I load a new day's sounds into a new board. Also, a white bar above each file used to fill in and stay full when a sound was played, letting me know which sounds on the board have been played. Now with this latest update, it defaults back to "unplayed" at the end of the file. I'm beginning to look for a new soundboard.

Developer Response ,

Hi Chris. Sorry you’re having this experience. Please reach out via the contact form on the website if you would like to discuss further.

New soundboards no longer default to QWERTY layout. This change was for consistency with other versions of the app, since QWERTY is only available on desktop. This change should only affect the default option when a new soundboard is created.

Also, a clear “has been played” indicator will be put on the sound pads, this feature is on the backlog already.

Thanks for the feedback and again feel free to reach out directly if you’d like to provide more information.
