PokerCruncher is the full real deal, and has a clean and easy-to-use interface.

What’s New

Version 16.1.1

A small edge-case syntax extension/fix for reading in another program’s hand range weights.
This weights syntax:

(3) ":[weight]" on right side of each weighted hand range term; [0.0 .. 1.0] decimal number weights:
For example: JJ:1.0

… has been extended to accept “0” and “1” as weights (without the decimal point):
For example: JJ:1

Thank you to customer Sean G. for writing in about this.

=== Previous Update Version 15.2.1 ===
* Some small UI layout adjustments for macOS Ventura. And an update to a Help screen.

Thanks for your latest app reviews. If you like PokerCruncher and our continuing work, please consider writing an App Store review, thanks!

Invaluable app!!

I’ve owned this app for a couple years and I use it in the majority of the studying I do. This thing is so comprehensive that there is probably a way you can get it to generate the odds of you picking up Beyonce at the bar this weekend….All right, that was a terrible example. I can give you those odds. My point is that it gives you the ability to evaluate very specific odds in a vast amount of specific situations. I could easily write a 6000 character review describing all of the functions that are available within the app, but I suggest you just check it out. It is also worth bringing up that I have seen a couple reviews that mention a learning curve with this app. I found it surprisingly user-friendly. The learning curve isn’t with the software as much as it is with the content the software deals with. The shift from looking at specific hands to looking at entire ranges is challenging for everyone at first. This app makes that shift much easier. From my perspective the app itself was easy to use assuming you’re familiar with ranges and how they work. Lastly, I bumped into an issue when I bought a new computer and had to download the software on that machine. The customer service representative was patient and helpful as they helped me resolve my issue. I would recomend this app to anyone looking to improve their poker game.

Solid App - Learning curve but worth the investment

I just purchased the app yesterday and have been playing around with it for the day now. I have been looking for a Mac solution ( I tried flopzilla on a trial with Crossover - product that lets you run windows programs - and now that expired and i would have to go through paying for not only that $35 and crossover whatever that cost). Plus its complicated im not good with computers so i have to unistall a bunch of stuff etc. This is just out of the box. It is slightly less intuitive than Flopzilla but there is definitely some added functionality and the ability to calculate equities similar to poker stove which i couldn’t figure out on flopzilla. Definitely a slight learning curve but nothing a few hours messing shouldnt get you through. Everything works great and I believe there are tutorials in the interface (I haven’t tried it just keeps prompting me to use them)
The point (if you take the time to learn how to use this, do a little research from good sources on why you use this tool and how) you will make back the money on the table. certainly without a doubt worth $40 and competitively priced with similar products.
I used flopzilla before this so I had a little bit of an understanding what I was looking at so slight disclaimer if you are completely new to these products be patient and watch some tutorials on how and why to use these things before you get discouraged.

Excellent Application

This new massive update to this app is awesome. I've had the app for 6 months and it's really helpful for study and post hand analysis. There is a learning curve for sure, but once you get comfortable with it, it's worth it. Still can't get over the improvements on this new version! Very nice work developers! One request though; either an in-house staff person or a pro you trust needs to do some you tube tutorials on the original and new features of the software.
If you're Mac person like me, this is what you need for Hold'em range and hand analysis.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for the great review! Yes this last app update is massive (e.g. the color-coded groups in hand ranges feature); we worked on it for months.

Re. tutorial videos - good suggestion; we will see what we can do here. Just fyi even currently there are some videos on PokerCruncher on YouTube, created by some pros/coaches who use this program. We have added links to these videos at the top of our website's Tutorials & Videos page. For example there's a 42-min. tutorial video, and a couple of other shorter videos, that cover the main ideas/strategies. But your suggestion is right on, because the current videos don't cover all of the features especially the newer features. Covering all of the features well would be a big production effort; we will see what we can do here. Thanks, -RJ/PokerCruncher, LLC
