About our guides:

We make great, interactive travel guides.
To make our guides we use the content that is freely available. Open content sites like Wikitravel, Wikipedia, World66 and Openstreetmap are among the best resources for any traveler. Our mission is to make that content relevant for you. So we mix and mash and annotate - and we distill great, relevant travel guides out of it.

We like open content. In fact some of us were involved in World66, one of the first open content travel guides on the web. Our travel guides are very much a re-mix of open content out there.

Currently we're using content from: Wikipedia, Wikitravel, World66, Open Streetmaps, DMOZ and Chefmoz

We're big fans of these projects. If you stumble across some inaccurate information in this guide, we would appreciate it if you correct it on the web site of these projects.

What’s New

Version 6.4.1

The latest version of our app has some exciting features. We have a new mapping solution that allows for a better experience and more accurate information. We updated our travel guide data to ensure you get the latest recommendations. Finally, we standardized our flow for booking hotels, tours and attraction tickets on our platform through our partners. Happy travels!

Good general guide to Poland

Triposo's guide to Poland is quite well researched and handy. Cities like Gdansk, Wroclaw and Krakow are covered pretty well, as well as smaller locations outside of the beaten path, like Kudowa-Zdroj and Zamosc. However, some information is already old. Triposo's map of Poland, for example, is already two and a half years outdated, and since then, nearly 1,000 km of new motorways and expressways have been added. Also, the over reliance on Wikivoyage on some articles (ignoring potentially more updated and accurate information from Wikitravel and other sources) can be a little annoying. Triposo should also have its website be more user-friendly, as it frequently will not add information or images from travelers.

This is the third country I've visited using the Triposo apps as my guide (first Greece, then Hungary) and I cannot put into words how amazing it is. The city walks are amazing. I LOVE that it works without Internet or data. Seriously the best app ever!!!!!

Critical Information a year out of date

I wanted to see da Vinci's Lady with an Ermine during my one day visit to Krakow. Tripso had a nice write-up including the loacation of the painting, The Czartoryski Musuem. We visited another main site across town, the Castle. Then in afternoon, we went to the museum to see the Lady with an Ermine. When we got to the museum, thre was a huge sign on the front. The museum had been CLOSED FOR A YEAR for renovations, and the Lady with an Ermine (it's most important piece) was on view in the Castle. It was too late in the day to get across town again, and pay a second entrance fee, to see the painting in the Castle.
I have waited a month after I got home to see if an update showed the location change; that has not happened.
Of course, before I left on my trip, I made sure that all my apps had the latest update.
