Great idea, but perhaps too limited

Initially I thought this app was exactly what I was looking for: a minimal, simple visual timer I could see on my screen at all times. The idea for me using this was to avoid further distractions, but unfortunately I can’t find an option to turn off the sound effects (it makes noises every time you click on any icon in the window). Also, there’s no option to edit the amount of time on the timer: 20 minutes is fine, but I was hoping for something a little bit longer for my work day. I think it does a fine job for its primary purpose, as long as it fits your work style and timeline. (NOTE: I understand that this isn’t a pomodoro timer, but it would be awesome if it were!!)

Good concept but a few issues

I like the design and idea of this, that's why I originally chose it over the other apps that do the same thing. However after using it for a couple weeks I've found a few annoying issues. The smallest is that when you have the setting on to be notified when the timer isn't running, this notification only has two options: to start the timer or remind you again in a few minutes. So if you're using your computer for music for example, it'll keep showing an alert every few minutes because there's no option to snooze for longer or to just ignore unless you quit out of the app or change the setting. A bit more annoying, the actual window always pops up above everything else when the timer starts so you need to keep clicking to hide it. Also, when your mac goes to sleep, the timer resets. Even if it's for half a second. Small problems but together it kind of makes using this pointless becaues it's supposed to be a simple app

Worse than version 1 but still good.

I like Pomy and I have used it for years, however, this version 2 update is worse than version 1 since now I have to manually exit the pomy window after each 20 sec break, which can get annoying. I also think that the design is slightly worse, comared to version 1, as the timer animations are more ridged, however, since it is still fully functional, I think it is fair. I do think that the paid version is better as it has soft full screen break screen from the previous version which I really liked and would have liked to have back.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your feedback, jose3292!

The version 2.2.2 includes a hotfix to the issue of manually having to exit the pomy window after the break, which was also raised from other users using the version 2.2.1, and I've been happily hearing that this issue has been fixed on the v2.2.2.

Please feel free to contact me if the issue persists!
