The best thing about this app is that it gives you lots of examples of how the word is used — not just a definition! I use it to know how native German speakers would use the word in everyday conversations or writing in order to decide whether the German translation of the English word I’m thinking about is appropriate.
This is a great and free online dictionary, based on the works of a real, reputable firm. The app has been good for years with many language options. However, the app has become less and less useful for me as ads for games pop up and cannot be exited from. About 50% of the time I use the app, I end up with one of these ads that then requires me to quit the app and restart it. These irritations have led me to consider deleting the app from my phone. I use it much less than I used to now.
The text translations of Pons are 100% better than Google Translate. I use Pons mostly for translating text from Spanish to English. It's a great help for short sentences as well as the Spanish dictionary and thorough explanation of different meanings. Highly recommend

Phrases with several words are NO problem.
What is important, is not simply to list the various meanings, but to explain them separately.
It is very easy to use - most of all I like the many various translations. It helps to increase vocabulary.

This is a delightful and easy-to-use app that allows rapid shifting from one language to another. It’s fast and accurate.
Great resource if you have perfect vision, especially since it only costs $3 per year to remove ads. But the font size is tiny. The app does not respect one's phone text size settings, nor does it offer an alternative text-size functionality. Thus, the app is useless to me. :(
Learning a language can be very hard, so it’s good to have high-quality tools to help along the way. Pons was recommended to me by my German tutor, who is a professional German-English translator of literature and a native German speaker. It’s a very good resource. I use it frequently.
This app is the gold standard of translation apps. Extremely accurate and head and shoulders above alternatives such as google translate. As a linguist I use and love this app. Great job!
