more New: Find customers.
- Homes with a pool near you, from county property records (Austin area)
- New pools from building permits, listed first
- Scan my area: pools spotted in aerial photos near you
- Hides homes that are already your customers
- Download the list as a CSV for door hangers or mailers
1.3.0 17h ago
Your books are now in the app. Scan a receipt, log mileage at the IRS rate, see profit and loss and your Schedule C, and reconcile your bank statement, all on your phone.
Invoices: start a new invoice priced the same way as the website, bill just the visits you pick, skip a draft, and share the invoice PDF.
Also new: estimates, sales tax on estimates and invoices, and a warning when your bank feed stops updating.
Water calculator: the acid dose for high pH now accounts for your water's alkalinity and stabilizer, the same way the web app works out the dose. Doses are smaller and closer to what the pool needs.
1.2.16 1d ago
New: Import bank spending. Open Expenses and tap Import bank spending to bring in a month of business spending at once.
- Upload the CSV statement from your bank or card website. Pool Guy Pilot sorts each line into a tax category, like supplies, car and truck, or meals.
- Pick a category for a vendor once and every line from that vendor follows. It is saved as a rule, so next month's statement comes in already sorted.
- Untick any line you want to leave out. Deposits are never counted, because your income comes from your paid invoices.
- Importing the same statement twice only adds lines you don't have yet.
- Or link your business checking or card through Stripe and pull new spending whenever you like, with no downloads. Pool Guy Pilot never sees your bank login.
Also: Assistant, All Customers, Expenses, Route Profit, Analytics and the Water calculator now live under the three dots on the Today screen, so every one of them can be opened on any iPhone.
1.2.14 2d ago
You can now subscribe to Pool Guy Pilot right in the app, with a 2-week free trial for new subscribers. If you already pay on poolguypilot.com, nothing changes.
New in the water calculator: Recommended next step. Enter your readings and free chlorine, and it tells you the one thing to add first and how much, worked out with the same chemistry as our PoolLevels app.
Offline visits the server can't accept now show on your route instead of waiting silently, and invoices for monthly customers start from your monthly rate.
1.2.13 Oct 2
Water calculator. Enter your current readings and your targets side by side and see the LSI for each, with the reason it moved: how much of your measured alkalinity is cyanurate and how much is actually carbonate.
Dose amounts come with the math shown, and the volume estimator asks for radius or diameter explicitly — so a round pool can't come out a quarter of its real size.
1.2.12 Sep 7
Fixed: adding a property or equipment photo to a customer. "Choose from library" did nothing at all, and "Take photo" could fail on the first tap. Both work now.
1.2.11 Sep 5
Quick log: one tap logs the pool and writes the visit text for you.
Crew access: your techs can log their own visits, and their work lands as a draft for you to approve before anything reaches a customer.
Bug fixes.
1.2.10 Aug 30
Your customers can now get their water-analysis report by email after every visit — the readings you took, what you added, safe-swim time, and up to six photos, sent from your business name so replies come back to you.
It stays off until you switch it on: Settings, “Email the customer their report.” You can also leave any individual customer out from their own profile.
Also in this build: the schedule shows recurring work coming due, not just booked jobs, and you can add a job straight onto a day.
1.2.9 Aug 25
Bring your book over. Import your customers from a QuickBooks or Skimmer export — pick the CSV, see exactly what it found, and nothing saves until you say so.
Guides. Straight write-ups on chemistry, routing and getting paid, without leaving the app.
Move a pool to another customer without re-typing it.
A rain gauge, so you know what fell before you drive out.
A standing checklist that comes back on every visit.
Fixed: if someone works for you and could never get past the setup screen, that was us. Crew can sign in and see the route now.
Fixed: losing signal at the gate no longer locks you out of your own offline queue.
You can now delete your account from inside the app — including when your account is inactive. The privacy policy, terms and support are in Settings too.
1.2.8 Aug 24
Sunlight mode. The app now opens in a high-contrast light theme built for reading a screen in direct sun — which is where most of this job happens. A dark screen looks great indoors, but outdoors the glare washes it out. Prefer the dark look? Settings has a switch: Sunlight, Deep Water, or match your iPhone.
Private notes on a visit. Gate codes, which dog barks, the customer who disputes every invoice — notes just for you and your crew. They never show up on an invoice, a report, or the customer's portal, unlike your regular visit notes, which can. Already dictated something you'd rather keep back? One tap moves it across.
Analytics. Visits and materials by week or by month, and every chemistry reading trending against its healthy range, over 30 days, 90 days, or a year — so you can see how the route is going without opening a laptop.
1.2.7 Aug 22
Set up your account right in the app. New operators finish setup on the phone instead of being handed off to a browser, and brand-new signups now land in setup instead of an "Account not active" screen.
Pools with more than one filter are handled properly. Add a filter to any pool and name it whatever you call it on site — "Filter North", "Filter South", "A", "B" — and track each one on its own: type, baseline PSI, when it was last cleaned, backwashed, and changed, and how often it needs cleaning. Mark a filter as bypassing when the valve is routed around it.
Record the chemicals you added on a visit, with source and cost, and see each pool's chemistry trends over time.
Your route screen now shows Ops Sentinel alerts and today's weather, and you can build a restock list from what you've actually used.
Edit a visit after you've logged it, and manage your price sheet in Settings.
On the customer's screen: property and equipment photos, documents and paperwork, card on file, a portal link you can send them, the feedback they've left, and skip-next-invoice.
1.2.6 Aug 20
Sign in with a password.
Passwords work everywhere — no waiting on an email to arrive, and no getting bounced out of the app to finish signing in. You can also create your account right here on your phone instead of going to the website first.
Already signing in with an emailed code? That still works exactly the same. If you haven't set a password yet, the app will offer you a code instead.
1.2.4 Aug 17
• Take photos without leaving the app — new camera button when logging a visit and in the AI assistant
• Fixed: photos attached to a visit now save reliably
• Fixed: opening a customer from the All Customers list
• Better chemistry reads: the app now tells you what a good test-strip shot needs
1.2.3 Jul 31
Fixed a bug where some photos — especially full pool shots — could fail to attach in the AI assistant. Test strips, equipment, and pool photos now attach reliably every time.
1.2.2 Jul 17
Fixed: photos now attach to the assistant reliably. Snap a test strip, a green pool, or a piece of equipment and ask what to do about it. Keep the feedback coming — it shapes what ships next.
1.2.1 Jul 14
Fresh new look — deep and easy on the eyes, and built to stay readable out in the sun.
Ask the Assistant with a photo: snap a pool, a reading, or a piece of equipment and get an answer. Copy any reply — or the whole conversation — straight into a text or your notes.
Log visits with no signal. Your notes and chemistry photos save on the truck and sync the moment you're back online.
Keep the feedback coming. It shapes what's next.
1.2 Jul 4
Big update for solo pool pros:
• Multiple pools per customer — give a pool and spa their own equipment, and tag each visit to the right one.
• Works with no signal — your route loads offline and any visits you log sync the moment you're back online.
• Route Profit — see which accounts actually make you money: your rate minus the chemicals and parts you spent.
• Expenses — log what you spend, sorted by IRS Schedule C category so tax time is a rollup, not a shoebox.
Keep the feedback coming — it's what shapes the app.
