Excellent SW that Smooths the Workflow

I’ve been using this utility for a couple years and I don’t setup a new Mac without it. PopClip’s broad list of extensions has everything you could want to do to strings of text or URLs in any document. In fact, it’s extendability may be a weakness because if you add all the possibilities you’ll end with a very long list of options displaying when you highlight a string. Choose wisely!

Of particular value to me is the extension that converts ALL CAPS to lower case (for folks like me: sloppy typers who inadvertently hit caps lock). The extensions to send strings to apps and are great for searching, collecting and defining terms with minimal fuss.

Here’s $10 well spent on a utility that waits quietly to make your life easier. Thanks to Pilotmoon for this very useful piece of software.

Best (and most used) app I own…when it works! Needs an update

Best (and most used) app I own…when it works! It needs an update because it now works only when it wants to, which as of late is about half the time. That’s probably a generous estimate too. I do absolutely love this app though!!! It is just one of those apps that when youuse it, you rely on it to always be working. Maybe there is something on my end that is preventing it fro working all the time, but I have know way of knowing if that is the case or how to fix it if so. Definitely a 5 star app when working properly!!!

Best Utility and By Far Most Frequently Used

This utility brings to OSX the iOS idea of putting an elongated bubble over selected items, with options to manipulate the selected content. The options are content specific - if you select an image, you won't get text options, etc.

I have a total of 23 options set up, but typically fewer than 8 show (in the size adjustable bubble) because many are very specific - as in links for phone calling via Facetime, emailing, text case changes, etc.

Contrary to one or two reviews here, the app is well maintained and updated as necessary. Over many years use, I've only once experienced a wait (two days) for an update after an OSX upgrade - and I stay up to date on OS changes.

For the tech savvy, it's also possible to create or modify options. I was able to modify another option in order to trigger the search of an online dictionary for an obscure "dead "language.
