Porsche Car Connect – Remote display and control of your Porsche from your iPhone and Apple Watch.
Starting from model year 2014, Porsche Car Connect brings you the ability to remotely access your Porsche from your iPhone. This requires that your Porsche is equipped with a Porsche Car Connect unit. Depending on your country, your model and the options installed, you will be able to remotely locate the position of your Porsche, fold exterior mirrors, set timers for charging, read the tire pressure or set a geo and speed fence.
And as of April 2015 we’re now Apple Watch ready, offering even more convenient remote display and control of your Porsche. Features include: safety notifications, journey statistics, vehicle status, vehicle locator and now valet alert as well, to allow peace of mind when parking your vehicle.
Porsche Car Connect is available for Panamera (starting from model year 2014), 918 Spyder, Macan, Cayenne (model year 2014), 911 (991 Facelift), 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman, and requires a Porsche Car Connect unit in your vehicle. The functionality of this app varies depending on your country of residence as well as on the options available in your vehicle.
Ratings and Reviews
App shows miles but displays km number
The app seems like it would be very useful and is, to a limit.
There are lots of bugs. One easy fix is a display that shows the odometer reading can be set for miles or km. However it just shows the km number and changes the label to miles. Therefore it says the car has more mileage than it does.
It is these kind of lack of attention to detail that earns the app poor reviews and ratings.
Seriously, the cars are great. Please make the app great as well.
App that saved my stolen car, NO LONGER WORKS! SHAMEFUL UPDATE!
This app saved my new car after it was stolen, 3 days after I bought it. The app showed my car’s location in real time on my iPhone & I was able to relay the positions to the police who did in fact find it, follow the thieves and recovered my car unharmed. HOWEVER, the app no longer works since I got the iPhone X and even the latest “update with iPhone X support” has NO iPhone X support!!!! After login all it says is no car found but, recognizes my login info. Then there’s no buttons or screen options and a big black bar across the top. ITS A USELESS HORRIBLY DISGRACEFUL APP VERSION!!! I expect better from Porsche!!!! I paid a lot for my car and the features of the app were crucial to my decision to buy the car I did.
Plus without the app functioning my insurance rates go up because of the loss of tracking functionality.
Very very upset! Considering a Tesla.
Useless on 2019 Macan
The app is perfect with the ‘19 Cayenne. On the ‘19 Macan is useless. Nothing is accurate, and 99% of the time it says “cannot send control to the car”. Also cannot open the car, etc. Mileage is wrong, services are wrong, and the app takes 2-3 min to send a command which doesn’t work anyway. Why would you take the controls away just because the car is cheaper? On the Cayenne the app is very useful, especially if you lock the keys in. On the Macan you can only lock the car but not unlock it. Why?!
Please have an update and let clients use the controls no matter which model. They’re all Porsches! The history, reliability, etc si for Porsche. Not Porsche *excluding the Macan and Panamera. . .
Also the app shows mileage but is actually kilometers. Please have a software update for that, it’s an easy fix.
