I've had the tendency to lean forward on my keyboard since I started working. This often results in assorted back pain and troubles. After trying various seating arrangements, Posturenet has helped me keep a more comfortable / healthier position!

My only complaint with this app is that, for my office setup, my camera does not face me directly. My laptop is off to the side, and that seems to interfear with the accuracy of the posture dectection. Also, there seems to be very little lower back detection, but I can't really fault the app for that - the camera just can't see below the desk :)

I wanted to thank you for giving our app a try. I appreciate your feedback, and I understand that the camera's angle from your laptop on the side makes it challenging to detect, so appreciate your patience.
When laptop camera can provide us 'depth' data in the future, we will be able to calibrate your posture data from specific angle, it might take a while. : )
If you are currently using an external monitor that doesn't have a built-in camera, I'd suggest adding an external camera (grab one from amazon for $30), and positioning it on top of the monitor. This will enable the app to capture the best possible view of you to help protect your posture.

This is a great app and well executed. Simple to use, including setup. Has helped bring more awareness to my posture. Have reccomended to friends. No more slouching and have noticed an improved posture even when off the computer.

This has been the most effective way for me to work on my posture. I work at a desk all day and have chronic neck / nerve pain due to my bad posture. I've tried physical remedies, but they never stick and are easy to forget to do. This app does the trick. It's not perfect, I bought a $15 webcam on amazon so I could put a camera on my center monitor and when I travel I need to reset its "good posture" vs "bad posture" training data, but that takes less than 10 seconds. Once you've done all that, this tool is an amazing reminder to sit up straight. After using it for 3 weeks, I can already tell I am naturally sitting with better posture more often. To the developers: THANK YOU for creating this life changing tool.
