Does ONE thing…the thing I wanted!
This app puts your Mac to sleep after the number of minutes that you choose. That is all I want and all it does. It is beyond idiot proof in its simplicity. Five big stars!
Use this if you have trouble getting your computer to sleep!
Stumbled across this by chance, and love it! For a long time I’ve had a hard time getting my computer to actually GO to sleep. Telling it to sleep with the pulldown menu usually just makes the screen go black, but I can still hear it running indefinitely, so I know it’s not actually sleeping. Now I just open this app and can quickly force it to sleep!
Would give 5 stars if I could configure the default time, or if there was a “Sleep NOW” button. I mostly use this app at night; my computer is on the desk by my bed and the screen turns on 2-3 times per night. The default time to sleep is 5 minutes, and since I want the computer to go back to sleep as soon as possible, I have to manually type in “1" minute every time. It’s a little annoying trying to locate the number keypad at 2 AM when I’m groggy. Otherwise, it’s a perfect and simple app and I’m happy to use it!
