Description
Prayer Sparks is an app for prayer and meditation, providing "Sparks", or prompts to help cultivate your spiritual life. The app's framework allows you to follow a simple progression of prayer, and the provocative prompts are designed to help you think more deeply about the spiritual life.
Grow your capacity for meditation by using the built in timer. Begin with short sessions, and use longer times as you get used to devoting time in stillness and silence. Inspired by the original Prayer Sparks cards, the app comes loaded with a free starter pack of 36 different sparks, with more available through In-App Purchases.
Expand your capacity for prayer and meditation by trying out a few experiments in the Prayer Lab. Settle in to experience one of the guided meditations in the new Media section, or maybe learn from some of the guidance provided there.
Record what's on your mind in the new Journal mode, and see how your prayers change over time.
Prayer Sparks 2.0 is built to provide you with an expanding set of opportunities for growth and to keep you challenged as you travel the way of prayer.

Version 2.0
The app has been overhauled from the ground up to bring several major new features and tools to help you cultivate a vibrant spiritual life.
- New Journal mode allows you to reflect on your meditation and prayer times, and remember how things change over time.
- New Decks mode lets you scan through all of your spark cards and build a custom prayer session out of each one.
- New Media mode streams guided meditations and other audio prayer aids.
- New Prayer Lab introduces you to new kinds of prayer experiments, so you can grow through experience as you try new things.
Each of these new modes is designed to help you expand your capacity for prayer and meditation, and to encourage you to develop a more sustained, deeper spiritual life.
There are other bug fixes and minor features as well:
- The timer UI is fixed and more intuitive.
- You can now share the Spark from your meditation via a Share Sheet, so you can share what inspires you with friends and family.
- Timer now ends with a beautiful bell sound.
- Prayer Sessions now select opening and closing prayers from a larger pool of prayers, one that's built to expand via iCloud.
