The Pre-K ABC educational app will help your child practice and learn the ABC’s. This comprehensive approach is highly interactive and based on choice. The letter and corresponding sound (short sound for vowels) is given along with words that start with that letter. A fun song is included with each letter. All the objects that represent letters have been carefully chosen. This low cost app is based on the Share The Secret Program, which has helped preschoolers and kindergarteners learn their ABC’s for many years. Help your child keep up or catch up to their peers.
This app was written by teachers for teachers, as well as parents. It will target individual needs. This app easily integrates into a pre-school program, and can be used individually or in centers. Knowledge of the alphabet, sounds of these letters and writing these letters composes some of the most important skills a child can have prior to reading.

Best way to teach letters to little ones.
My grandsons and granddaughters love using the tactile letters and saying the prompts as they do it. It keeps their interest and makes learning letters fun. Bottom line: it works and we have seen great progress as they get ready for school. I wish I would have had this app with my struggling students when I was a teacher, it is a really effective way to learn the proper formation of the letters and link them to the sounds they represent. Truly unique to this App are: (1) the fun directions for forming letters correctly, (2) an opportunity for tactile interaction and recognition, (3) an opportunity to hear and practice words with the beginning sound they are learning, and (4) fun jingles put to music.
Simple App i but well done and dose what it say's ! It kept my young sons attention, and taught him his lowercase abc's. I found that the learning has started to translate over to paper, because they do have you trace each letter. I even catch him singing the little jingles that they have for each letter !
Not what I expected.
I love the Share the Secret materials and I've passed those on to several teachers who also love them, but I can't do the same for this app. The exaggerated enunciation of phonemes within words is unnatural and does not contribute to helping children learn to listen for the initial sound they need to associate with the letter they are learning. I do like the verbal cues for the letter formations and the songs that are part of the We Share The Secret materials. They have been helpful for many of my students and will be in the future. Because I bought the app, I may use it to review letter formation or play the songs, but I will definitely be skipping the first activity. Sorry, I really wanted to love this the way I love the We Share the Secret materials but I can't.
