Description
Corruption is a major challenge in humanitarian assistance as it deprives the most vulnerable people, the victims of natural disasters and civil conflicts of essential live-saving resources. Organizations need to take this challenge seriously, as it has direct negative implications for their operations. This app is based on Transparency International’s «Preventing Corruption in Humanitarian Operations – Pocket guide of Good Practice», with updated tools in 2014. The complete version of the TI Handbook including references is available at www.transparency.org/humanitarian-operations
We hope that the app can be useful to humanitarian workers and others who need guidance to identify and handle corruption risks in operations. In this context, practical suggestions are made on what to watch out for, prevention, what you need and challenges that you may face.
