Description
Easy YAML file QuickLook previews and icon thumbnails.
PreviewYaml provides QuickLook file previews and file icon thumbnails for documents created using the popular YAML structured data format.
The app provides two app extensions: Yaml Previewer and Yaml Thumbnailer, which can be viewed and managed in macOS’ System Preferences > Extensions > QuickLook. The app itself is simply a container for these extensions, and can be used to set preview preferences.
You must run the app first to gain these benefits.
Certain YAML features, such as custom tags, are not as yet supported by PreviewYAML. Comments are not yet rendered.

Ratings and Reviews
It work, but is format is idiosyncratic
The extension functions, so that's good. However, the rendered YAML is not in line with typical YAML formatting, making it more difficult to visually parse than it needs to be. This results in an impedance mismatch between how YAML is rendered in the preview than in my IDE/editor.
Some examples of idiosyncratic rendering are: no colons for separating keys from values; no hyphens to denote items in a list; and comments omitted. Therea are no preference settings for adjusting these aspects of the output.
What I really want to see is the text as written with syntax highlighting. Ya know, how people actually work with YAML in their editor. I get that it's easier to parse the YAML and render some simple output, but this extension really needs to preserve tokens in the original text rather than transforming the output so significantly.
