Simply the best collection app!!

The website will always be better, and the app needs internet connection or data to work anyway so you might as well make a safari home screen shortcut of the website but the only place this app really fails is against itself. It’s easily the most fully featured collection tracker with a growing database of Video Games, Trading Cards (Pokémon, Sports, Magic the Gathering etc.) , recently Coins and more! Love the work JJ Hendricks is doing with this constantly growing database!

Also, the Pricecharting team is wonderfully responsive to feedback, and are constantly implementing community requested features, so if there is a problem or lacking feature, it will likely be added or fixed soon.

Hey thanks for the feedback! Do you have a list of top features we’re missing from iOS that you use on web? We’ll try and get those prioritized so you don’t have to make a website shortcut 😀 hit us up at feedback@vgpc.com

Great app for trading card collection!

To start off, I recently started to get back into collected TCG. And out of all the apps that are available for TCG this is my favorite. I especially love that is has Grading price options listed. Especially listing different grading company prices. I like that it cross references pricing with TCG player, and eBay listing. And for the most part I’d say it’s pretty accurate for pricing. My favorite part of the app, is that I collect both Yugioh, and Pokemon cards. And other TCG apps don’t do both. I’ve had a positive experience with this app as a whole.
As for the negative. My biggest negative experience with this app right now, is that there is no support for Dragon Ball TCG. I see that there is basically every other TCG I know about in this app, except for Dragon Ball TCG. I think it would be a great addition to this app. As far as I could tell, it would be the first app to have it. I know TCG Player has pricing for Dragon ball TCG. But I don’t like their app. Other than that for me, I do struggle to use the scan option for TCG. It doesn’t seem to work that often for me, so I usually have to manually enter them. But it’s the same for another app I use. The only other thing, is there are inaccuracies in pricing between this app, and TCG player sometimes, and even to the extent some cards won’t have a TCG player price box at all listed for the card.

Thank you for the kind words and feedback. We really appreciate it and take it seriously. We've heard a few other people ask for Dragon Ball, and it's on our radar. We plan to add that vertical soon. As for pricing, we primarily pull from eBay, so pricing for raw / ungraded cards is difficult. We're looking to bolster our dataset in that area too. Could you reach out to us at feecback@vgpc.com to let us know more about which cards don't have TCG pricing and what issues you're having with scan? We want to make the experience as easy as possible and your feedback really helps us accomplish that.

Great app, but could use some improvement

Great app! Have been using it for almost a year now, and it helps a lot especially because I trying to sell my tgc cards. It helps to see increases in price and to see what cards I should sell, but the app could use some updates. First of all the options for collecting cards is VERY limited. If you want to use the app without paying for a subscription, I get that, but the features are so limited without a subscription that I kind of wanted to stop using the app. Especially lots ( another word for multiple collections), if you want to sell cards and people make you offers like, “how much for all of the crown zenith cards”, you might be out of luck for not spending any money, because the app only lets you create one collection of collectibles. One solution is letting users make at least 2 lots and making the subscription for if you want to make 3 or more. You could also add more (free) features like selecting multiple cards and having the app calculate it for you. But overall this app is amazing!

Ps to the developers, thank you for adding iPad support for when I’m doing research at home

Developer Response ,

Hey there! First off thanks for using the app for a year. We’re happy you’ve found it valuable and thank you for the candid feedback. The lot value calculator is meant more to value lots on the go. If you want to keep a running collection of specific cards, you can add them to folders. You can then sort and filter by folders to view the value, cost, and profit. Please reach out to us at feedback@vgpc.com to continue the discussion!
