OMG

I had been deluged with spam calls, texts, emails, etc. sometimes I would wake up and I would have 1200 emails. I tried a VPN but it restricted my normal operating phone. I would continuously get notifications that my information was found on the dark web. I signed up for privacy hawk about 14 months ago. What a difference. Still get a spam call on occasion. Maybe one a week. Spam emails have disappeared. I receive updates on my privacy score. Which has increased from the low hundreds to a freakin 809. Bonus is I don’t have to limit or restrict phone calls. And they constantly monitor public sites like the yellow pages and all those sites we all visited to find out what our old high school friends were up to. Or where our exes were living. So no more freely giving out my private or personal info. Privacy hawk does it all for me.

I couldn’t be more disappointed!

I looked at this app for a while before purchasing it, and then decided to get it for the year… Big mistake. It only works for Gmail accounts with your emails, and since I have private websites and do not use Gmail, it only covers less than half of the “exposures“ out there. Also, I was disappointed that after putting in my information initially, I was sent several links for me to then personally request all of my information to be removed from their site… Which is basically something that you can find on your own, it’s just that they compiled it for you, but then did none of the work, and it was time-consuming to fill out each one of those things, and again main portion, which is tied to my email, doesn’t even work because it’s not a Gmail account. They say they’ll be adding you email servers in the future, but that hasn’t happened. I had really high hopes for this and would’ve recommended it to you like 1000 people and would have happily paid the fee for many years to come, and maybe it was written somewhere and I missed that, but anyway, I can’t recommend it. Unfortunately.

Easy to use

It’s simple to set up, and then use to scan across a broad range of data broker sites that display and sell your personal info. Once the scan is complete, it will show you the names of matches found with your info. You can then use the information and research yourself how to opt out and remove your listing from their websites. Privately Hawk then offers a service where they take care of this for you, removing your information from all services and monitoring ongoing to make sure it’s not later added again, which is common after a period of time. The app also explains more on why removing this personal data is important.

Thanks for the nice words. Sounds like PrivacyHawk delivered on its promise for you, which is to automatically 1) identify who is selling or using your private data, 2) put you in control of your data, and 3) remove privacy risks to reduce your risk of being targeted by cybercrimes!
