Not an improvement at all
Connecting and set up was a breeze but that is where it stops. The app shows one setting, the thermostats do not match. Let me set the stage: we are in Central Florida where the temps are in the high 80’s to low 90’s every day. Today the settings on my app for one of our buildings were at 78 all day yet the inside temp shows to be 76. How can that be unless the actual setting on the thermostats are lower than the app tells me? In our kitchen (another building) we set the thermostats to 70 remotely yet I’m told the display reads an 83 degree setting. Very hard to deal with while we are open for business; to find that the reason it’s so hot is that the thermostats are set higher than the app shows. Needs to be fixed. Finally, the temporary hold gives a confirmation that the hold is in effect until 7:00 pm regardless what the default 4 hour gap gives you. Too many headaches!

UPDATE 2 - Finally got them reconnected after a 6hr drive one way. While here, Spectrum internet went down for a couple hrs...it happens. BUT, thermostats never reconnected. Called CS and was told they only try once to reconnect after 15 mins. I need to be physically at the thermostat and ADD THEM AGAIN!!! He said if the power goes out, same procedure. These things are not worth it at all. I have received a refund from my contractor and now have NESTs. They work...all the time. They reconnect.
Goodbye to the Pro1iaq...it was not fun! BUYER BEWARE!!
UPDATE...just spoke to customer service. You have to be physically in front of your thermostats to add them to the new app. Old account information does not transfer. If you have these in a vacation home, get ready to travel!!! Btw, mine are two weeks old. I was just there to have them installed. Spoke to customer service multiple times during setup navies of their ‘server issues’. I was never told this was going to happen. Very irritated!
I use this app to control the thermostats in my beach house...6 hrs away. Now, with abrupt update, I am completely in the dark. App will not accept my existing ID and password.

New App is horrible!!!
When I first got the unit they had the old app which was amazing. I never had an issue! For 6 months I totally bragged on this unit!! When the new app came out it took me two days to get it working again. It worked for a couple of months only saying the unit wasn’t connected to the internet just every couple of day. The past two weeks unless I am home and connected to my wifi I can’t use the app to change my temperature! It constantly says not connected to the wifi. If you back out on the screen that list all thermostats it shows to be working. They other thing is the time says it is in central time zone which is my correct zone, but it is an hour off. Right now it is 11:10 pm and my apps thinks it is 10:10! I have tried resetting my wifi. That didn’t help. I really don’t want to delete the thermostat because it will take days to connect it again. I called and left a message for the customer service, still waiting on a call back two months later 🙄!
