This is one of the better podcast apps. I don’t need a ton of fluff or to pay a subscription to an application that is running natively on my device to download already free content. I wouldn’t mind just buying an app to do it but the trend that some crack head devs are going in by charging sub fees for not even providing a service is too crazy. This app is just a hair above complete basic. It has play lists and a good set of options but doesn’t take those options over the top.

I’ve tried them all from the Native Apple app to top rated Overcast. OK Procast isn’t perfect, for instance ... No matter how many times I delete or move a new episode from the inbox to the playlist some just keep showing up in the inbox. Sometimes Ive already listened to it and don’t realize it’s a duplicate until I’m a few minutes into it again. I was able to cut but not share to FaceBook. These two obstacles are minimal so they didn’t dent my rating. Things I love so far ... Dark theme - aesthetics. Swiping enabled I found loads of new podcasts that weren’t readily available or promoted on my last app. A simple tutorial that’s right there in the settings. Transferred most of my 80-some podcasts from my last app. I had to resubscribe to a few but not many. That was easy. It’s simple enough yet robust enough to satisfy my voracious podcasting needs and looks great. I haven’t had time to try all of the features since I’ve only been using it a few days but I’ll update my review if something comes up. Deleting Overcast today.

difficult to use

So far, when this app works it's great but I can't always get it to work. I want to make clips of podcasts and I was able to do it for a few times. Now it just isn't working for that. And when I try to read the FAQs or the Advanced Tutorial, I get a message saying THIS PAGE IS NOT SECURE, IT MAY BE IMPERSONATING.... and says to close the page. PLEASE FIX THAT SO I CAN USE IT AGAIN!!! Or contact me - there's no way to ask for help as far as I can see.
