NOT SURE what the problem is that everybody else is having, but IF YOU FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS - STEP BY STEP…you shouldn't really have a problem…what I would maybe suggest would be an instructional video oe demo that would assist in the How To's of the software…that MIGHT be a help to some of the others…But for ME…it worked seamlessly! I'd honestly give it 4 stars!!

I was leery about this app initially, but I was tired of navigating Final Cut Pro X with the mouse and keyboard. The cost of an FCPX dedicated keyboard was not in the budget. While the app can be purchased through iTunes, the (Mac) server software is downloaded/installed directly from the developer. A little risky, but the site appears to be legit. In any case, I have used ProCutX for about 15 minutes and I'm quite satisfied. I wish it had more functionality, but based on the current cost, I can't complain. I am relying less on the keyboard/mouse which is saving me some editing time and reducing "carpal tunnel". If you don't have FCPX running on a Mac, don't download the app to your device. I am using an iPad 2 with the app and it works quite satisfactory. How much would I pay for more functionality? It depends...

Hello everyone. First i want to say this app really works and works great but i believe it needs a little clarification. This is not a video editor for the iPhone. This is a controller that connects via wifi to your mac laptop and helps in the process of editing videos using a prosumer editing tool called final cut pro X. If you want to edit on your phone, then you didn't read or understand the description. Simply uninstall and don't leave a review. I am a video editor. I work in avid, final cut pro, fcpx and premiere. In the beginning of the 2000's there were a number if keyboards you could buy that included the jog wheel and a number of speed keys for your favorite tools. This app has been able to recreate that using the screen of my smart phone. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. In less than ten minutes the whole thing was connected and working. My future feature request for the developers would be the ability to personalize the buttons and their positions. Thanks.

I want to start by saying I never review apps, however this app needs the review!I wanted a simple control surface for Final Cut Pro and this was it!!!!This app is awesome, all it takes is to download the app, follow the instructions to get the software for your Mac and install the software on your Mac. Once you're done installing on iOS and Mac open both the Mac and iOS apps and then Final Cut Pro X, once you see on your iOS device that the connection is made with your computer you can jog with the jog wheel, cut with the blade or perform a ton of different actions via your newly configured control surface!All of the negative reviews are people who can't read the words on screen in front of them, also if you didn't get the email they send check your spam folder and if no luck there go to the developers website and download it directly!!!!!
