Looks better, at what expense?

This reworked version is both slower and, well, seems unable to function fully on perfectly usable older (iPhone 6, less memory) devices. Quite simply, check deposits no longer work – enter amount, select account, take picture of front of check, then *it reloads, requires re-login, and you’re back to square one* without reaching the back-of-check stage. Additionally, try this 3 times in a row and you’re locked out from further attempts. Fresh reboots, no other apps open... hasn’t worked once, and no updates in over 2 months.

Sorry to hear about your experience using our mobile app. Unfortunately, other members with the iPhone 6 have had intermittent success with the check deposit function as well because it is at the threshold of meeting the minimum requirements. Decent app

The app itself is definitely outdated and in need of a desperate update. Hopefully with the new website coming soon either mobile app will update alongside it or not long after. Some of the non intuitive features are constantly asking you to reverify and potentially change and confirm your account picture and just the old layout of this entire app. While it’s takes a bit to get used to, you can get by through simple banking functions, depositing, checking messages but it needs to be more simplified and cleaned up. We will be getting an update soon with text verification (finally) which will hopefully be added to the phone app. The app itself is potentially a 3 overall but definitely needs some love.
The credit union institution for me has been nothing but positive at this point with more APY than I ever got through WF. It’s easy to get a hold of customer service during business hours and everyone has shown outstanding service. Also I love knowing that the profits PCU gets goes directly to helping us out.

Transteaching - We have an update scheduled in the coming weeks to help fix some of the issues you mentioned. Included in the update we will be getting rid of the constant reverifying for users and members will no longer have an account picture to verify. Let us know if this resolves your issues. Useless

I’ve got to agree with those who said this app is crap. The ONLY reason I’d ever want an app like this is to be able to deposit checks without going in person to a branch or ATM. (Anything else, I happily do in my desktop browser, with a real display and a real keyboard.) But I tried this and the one feature I wanted does not work. Either that, or the method of using it is completely cryptic. I enter the amount of the check and try to take photos of the front and back of the check, but it does not behave as expected. None of the info I enter “takes”. In the end I gave up in frustration.

Also, why on earth should I have to authenticate in order to sign OUT of the app??!! That’s downright stupid. You tap “sign out” and you assume you are signed out. If you fail that process, it only means that the app stays open - so the person who later steals your phone can use it! Unlikely scenario, I know, but you get the point. “Sign out” should do just that. It’s easier to just kill the app than go through the two-factor auth all over again.
