This app will aid the blind or visually-impaired in navigating inside a building. The app works with bluetooth beacons which can placed at various positions in the building. When the user is close to the beacon, the app will detect it and then the device will start to vibrate. The user must then shake the device and information specific to that location, where the beacon has been placed, will be read to the user. The app will also inform the user that there are certain "special directions" which will help the user navigate to the next beacon. These special directions will be identified by various sounds. The user can find these special directions by orientating the device until the specific sound is played. The app will inform the user how many approximate steps to take, before reaching the next beacon. All information related to a beacon, with a unique major and minor number, is stored in iCloud and thus can be updated at will. The app can handle an arbitrary number of beacons and will assist the blind or visually-impaired with indoor and even outdoor navigation.
