Lack of communication

I’m going back and forth on this service - the produce I’ve received has been fine but the system of ordering, updating, and cancelling orders is very confusing. I wish that Farmbox would be more proactive about letting you know about upcoming orders so you can make adjustments or skip as needed - they don’t provide you with updates until the order is locked in. My most recent order had a link to where I could swap produce but it didn’t work. It feels like I’m getting tricked into ordering something I have no control over. They’ve changed the parameters of when an order gets locked in but the communications from them on how to navigate that don’t make any sense. I’m having to work hard to understand how to order and I’m paying for food I don’t want. I previously used “Farm Fresh to You” when I lived in California and that system is so much more clear and considerate and easy to understand. There’s no fine print or surprise orders - you have control over what you’re buying and when you get it. I hope that Farmbox rethinks their user experience and communications - as of right now it’s a largely negative experience.

Swap times are confusing, and other dates are too

So far I feel like the above reviewer. Although I’m just starting the service, I can’t figure out how, or when, to go in and swap items. Somewhere I think it may have said when, but it would help if they sent an email saying the menu was out and now is the time to swap items. It seems as if customers have to go into the account and see if they’ve got lucky — hit-and-miss — i.e. looked in to the account in time to swap items. I didn’t, and am now getting 5 or so potatoes I can’t swap and don’t want. Also it says the box “will ship” dec. 7-9” and no clue when it may be received. And no info as to where the produce is grown - locally?
