Odd and unnecessary force on rating
I don’t see why an app really needs the use of forcing people to rate a 5 star review before receiving access. For all I know at the moment is that some of the categories still may not allowed access. Honestly I find it odd and unnecessary. It also increases the chances of receiving lower stars or 5 stars and a weird or bad review considering that there are many of those on the reviews already.
Forces 5 star rating
The only way to unlock ANY content is to pay or rate five stars. That’s not something you know until after you download and try to use the app. I’m sorry, but any app that can’t get a five star rating through actual merit doesn’t deserve to get five stars in the first place. It’s so frustrating to have content advertised and then learn you have to sell out to access even one piece of what was advertised. *Earning* high ratings and drawing new users in is the app developer’s job. One star because of the audacity of the developers and because I’m not willing to rate something five stars without knowing the quality of the content I’m rating first.
*Edit: interestingly, I didn’t have to rate 5 stars to access the content. I didn’t rate the full 5 stars but still got the content. However, these are optical illusions with astrology-like explanations about what they mean. For example, seeing movement in a particular optical illusion, which is designed to make you see movement, will reveal that you’re stressed (who isn’t?) or your love life is going to change soon. As far as I’ve seen, there’s no legitimate psychology in this psych app.
App wants a 5 star rating prior to use
I downloaded the app, however none of the content were available. It kept telling me to give it a 5-star rating in order to unlock any of the content, the other option was for me to pay $.99. I chose to do neither. Instead, I chose to read the reviews, and from what I read, this 5-star app should probably truly be rated a 1-star based on the content in the reviews ranging from glitches, grammatical errors, and oh yeah, did I mention that it forces you to give a 5-star review in order to unlock some of the content, however, according to reviews, not even that is guaranteed. Any app, or the developers really, that forces you to rate it 5-stars in order to use any of its content is suspicious and manipulative and deserving of a 1-star in my book. I hope you guys enjoy your review.
