Pure GPS stores and directs users to waypoints using latitude and longitude coordinates. Pure GPS delivers the necessary functionality to utilize the iPhone's built-in GPS in a simple clean interface.

The best thing about Pure GPS is its simplicity. If you plug in the latitude and longitude, Pure GPS will direct you to your destination. It's as easy as that! With Pure GPS there is no need to understand a complicated interface.

Pure GPS features maps, metric and customary measurements, speed and heading.

Locations can be entered into Pure GPS by entering in coordinates, by marking the user's current location, or by a long press on the map. Now users can share a waypoint with a friend through email!

Users can store multiple waypoints and navigate to them. The user can also save their current position as a waypoint to navigate back to later.

In addition, Pure GPS can notify you when you get close to your waypoint even while running in the background.

Pure GPS does not require users to create an account or share their waypoints in any manner.

User friendly, works very nice for being free.

Easy to use, no extra things that are not needed. Actually very accurate, put in a waypoint and it takes you there. If you know how to hike without looking at a map all the time you’re going to be happy with this. Put your start position in as a waypoint and you will be guided back to it, how much better do you need...

Great app … frustrated with service!

I have been a very satisfied user of PRO GPS for many years and have promoted this app for use by many others. Without notice my app stopped working and was no longer available on the Apple Store. Looking for help, I stumbled across “Pure GPS”. On the surface it looked and felt like the app I had been so pleased with and was created by the same company. Looking for help to transfer my Waypoints from the old to the new app, I contacted Codeburners from their help site. No response!!! Odd but I continued to try them over several days, sending several emails. No response! What the heck? So after manually adding my waypoints to the new app (considerable effort due to the many waypoints I use) I again was able to use my favored app. Not so fast … yes it worked like the old app but the advertising pop ups were endless and rendered the new app all but useful. You could hardly add a waypoint without a pop-up overtaking your screen. I had gladly paid a fee on the previous app to avoid this but now since their support people do not respond, I’m in search for another app that works as well as the one I had from Codeburners. Unable to find it so far. They all have lots of needless features that complicate usage. Hoping Codeburners will contact me as I would favor their app over all others!!!

The only one you'll need

I had 5 or 6 GPS spot marking apps I used for hunting. Not any more. This is the only one I use now. No unnecessary bells and whistles. Just add your current waypoint and rename it to whatever you want. My friends insist on carrying those bulky Garmins. This one fits in my shirt pocket for quick access. I pull my iPhone out, mark and rename my waypoint and I am ready for the next time I want to hunt there.
