Most polished title for Vision Pro on Day 1

I’ve been trying out apps and games on the Vision Pro for the last 24 hours. This little game is, by far, the most polished experience I’ve seen — and I’m saying that as someone who released two Vision Pro apps himself, so I know what a feat that is. It’s easy to control, relaxing, full of beautiful buildings, with a minimal, functional UI — and it’s actually fun! But what’s astounding is all the little touches: animations, soundscapes, how everything just quietly clicks into place.

Great idea and good execution. Controls can be finicky.

Awesome app. It would be cool to read a blog explaining how you get the model and cut it into pieces :) Suggestions: right now some taps are treated as both picking up a piece from the window and rotating the incomplete model. So if you pick a piece and drag to place it, the model starts spinning very fast. This is very noticeable on the 200 piece model. Very disorienting. Please fix :). Also, consider adding some inertia to the model, right now it feels like the model and an individual piece weigh the same — it’s too easy to accidentally spin the model and it breaks the illusion a bit. Finally, the space orientation can get out of wack — you double click on the crown and you see the side or the back view of the window with pieces (no background) and no home button, can you make sure the window and the button always faces the viewer after the space alignment?

Way more fun than it has any right to be.

I don’t like puzzles. I think they’re boring and a waste of time, but boy, did Puzzling Places change my mind. The “physicality” of moving 3D pieces in space, the ample and intuitive functionality of moving the scene and pieces around, and the breathtaking beauty of the photorealistic environments makes this a game not to miss. Easy to pick up, and hard to put down. You might never get out an actual puzzle again!
