---------- What People Are Saying ----------
"This is what us with brain damage, memory and concentration problems have been needing so much. The Apple calendar & reminder is useless for us. To think of that and make something so easy to use and user friendly and simple clear distiguishable colours is genius! Honestly it's the one app I couldn't ever be without now. Seriously. I haven't got a clue how I managed the last 5 years since my accident. Well I do, I'd forget everything! I can't speak highly enough not only what you have created but the huge life changing impact something so simple has made. Thank you! thank you! thank you!" Warren J., Living with a Brain Injury
"Thank You Qcard Makers! I could cry every time I think... what if I didn't have this incredible tool to help me everyday. I call it my other better brain." Aneurism Mama, App Store Review

"A great app not only for those who are aging, have TBI or dementia, but for those of us who have run out of places to put sticky notes!" - Jean Gunn, Speech Language Pathologist
"I love Qcard because I don't forget my pills anymore and it notifies my wife so she doesn't worry. Thank you for creating this app to help me to feel normal again." Daniel Smith, Living with Brain Injury
"Great for all the ADD type folks. I personally am all about the visuals- this would be great to use for myself too!! - Amy T., Speech Pathology - SLPA,
"I have Alzheimer's so my therapist introduced me to Qcard. I tried a few others but nothing came close to Qcard's clarity and precision!!!." - Ezekiel Chinapen
"tried out your app because sometimes my ADHD gets in the way of work, it worked awesome for me, I'm 10x more productive. :)" - Adam M., Living with ADHD
"I love this app! My husband has a TBI and is aggravated by pill times - he says he just took them, but never quite sure... so he now uses Qcard to take his meds and the wonderful news is now when he hears the sound, he knows he has to take his meds without any doubt. Thank you love the app!!" Amy C., Loving Wife

UPDATE TO POST: It has been a year since I reviewed this & you said you were planning on adding an Apple Watch app as soon as you can. Is this happening anytime soon? Thanks!Hi there! I have only been using this for one day & I already love it! The downside to it, and only reason I did not give 5 stars; is that it is not compatible with Apple Watch. I am using this app to help with my executive functioning problems, so I'm using a lot of the guided reminders, but I am not supposed to have my phone out at work. It would be great if it were compatible with Apple Watch so I could also use it to keep myself on task at work!

Hi Rose, Thank you for your awesome review :) We are planning on implementing Apple Watch, along with other features, as soon as we can.
Many Pitfalls
From an OT
I am an occupational therapist working with people who have survived various brain injuries. I also personally have mild ADD - easily get distracted and forget obligations. I tried Q-Card for a while to see if it would help me, and if I could recommend it for my clients. I think it has great potential, but a number of things need to be fixed before I can give it a rousing endorsement:- When setting an appointment it would be great to be able to connect to the contacts in my phone or to Maps apps in order to set location/ people meeting with. It's tedious to type it all in, and some folks with brain injury also have motor impairments.- I had multiple experiences when setting reminders, or adding to a "to do" list, when I lost my data. The app should have a mechanism to prevent user from leaving a page without saving. There were multiple times when I was expecting an alert only to find that my reminder was not saved.- I didn't use the guided task feature for myself, but I did experiment with it. One thing I noticed was that there is no way to rearrange or add in additional steps. Often times there's a lot of trial-and-error when determining steps for a guided task. Also, if circumstances change (e.g. A new washing machine requiring different sequencing), the guided steps to a task would need to be updated. I don't see this level of flexibility in the Q-card app.- Another issue on the Guided task feature is that the shortest duration for each step of a task is 5 minutes. There needs to be a lot more flexibility for setting times for these steps. Some people need these tasks broken down to micro-steps that may only last a few seconds. If these issues are fixed, I may reconsider my rating.

Hi "From an OT"! Thanks for your feedback. We are aware of all these issues and have a long list of 'to-do' to improve the user experience. You have to understand that Qcard is still very young and this is really the stepping stone to where we're headed. We have some amazing ideas to further improve Qcard, make it even easier to user and more powerful... but all this takes time. Please know we are determined to continuously improve Qcard and our goal is to make Qcard the go-to solution for anyone suffering from memory and/or cognitive impairments. BTW, since you're an OT, did you know you can get Qcard for free? Email us and we can tell you how - support@qcard.ca
Frustrated - but not any more!

Update: I heard back from QCard. They helped to fix the situation. The accounts are now set up properly and I can send QCards to my dtr. Today is the first day for her use. I am liking the results. My dtr (high functioning MRDD) typically loses her day (will forget to perform her ADL’s), very unorganized. She responds promptly to her reminders and completes her tasks in a timely fashion.Thank you for your prompt response! Now we are learning how to use your app to optimize our days. Great results so far!PS: my oldest dtr is an OT and she recommended the use of your app to increase my disabled dtrs independence. Bought and set up my account. Tried to set up an account for my disabled dtr. Hers is in trial mode and will not link with mine. It wants her to purchase the app. We have family share enabled but the app is not recognizing family share. I sent an email, waiting for response...will update when receive response. Right now, I am very frustrated. I cannot send tasks to her device to help organize her day.
Falling behind

The app is missing days and times or changes times. I have to delete the future cards to reset it correctly. Sometimes the alarms don’t go off. Then I open the app hours later and the lunch med alarm will go off (even tho it is night), then catch up with the rest of the day. There’s no way to put in that I tempered at the right time and took it. It’s a good app, when it works. The guidance tab is weird now because when it set it, I expect it to start when I say Go- not realizing it put in a timer to start in an hour or something. I can’t set it to zero. Kristin
