Enjoy the app – miss some features
I've use this app for several years and really enjoy it. One thing that seems to be missing is the ability to set parameters for notifications. I believe you could set Notification alerts based on what magnitude of earthquake. I've turned off notifications because I didn't enjoy getting alerts for every magnitude 1 earthquake for example.
The BEST QUAKE APP NOTIFICATION!!
I've had this app for over a year and out of all the apps I have, this app gives me the quickest notification before all the others I have!! I live in Hawaii and the purpose of this app being that we don't have much quakes here is for the purpose of a Tsunami threat. I have my notification set to notify me on quakes over 6.0 as that would probably be where I look into it a little more as it may have generated a possible Tsutsumi. Once I get this notification I go to my disaster app and it usually follows and that app tells me if a widespread tsunami was generated. The two app combo I have is the best!! I'm always the one send notification to friends and family before the news gets it out to the public!! GREAT APP AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!! This app is so simple but yet so AWESOME!! Don't hesitate download it 👍🏽
Put back the MAP option!!!
Update..still not showing where a particular quake is when it happens-STILL not fixed. There used to be a Map link that you could touch and it would bring you right to where the quake happened on the map. It’s gone. My husband goes to Japan often, and when there’s a quake there, I WANT TO SEE WHERE THAT QUAKE IS!! FIX IT!!
Terrible update when you take away a good feature! I would give it zero stars if I could. You took away the map option to bring you to that quake. I also find it frustrating not to be able to move the map all the way around, in the Pacific. You can't go beyond a certain point going west and have to go all the way east to get there, or vice versa. It's hard to explain, but the app needs to be able to go 360 all the way around in one direction or the other.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
