Description

Keep track of your activity and travel through the years. Create high quality personalized maps using your data, visualize your day to day timeline, take notes, compare your workouts, and annotate your photos to find them easily.

ACTIVITY TRACKER
Track your activity automatically in the background with only your phone (Enable or disable in the Settings). It will automatically recognize the places you go to and your walks, runs, etc.

TRAVEL MAPS
Generate a map of your day, week, month or your last vacation using HealthKit or Strava workouts, Moves App or Quantified activity, Swarm/Foursquare checkins, and/or Photos
 geolocations.
Then export it as an image that you can share on social media.

TIMELINE
View all your activities, places and photos aggregated on a timeline presented day by day. You can edit your activity to set custom activity type like yoga and tag places.

NOTES
Take daily notes to summarize your days or add notes to your activity or places individualy. A note have a short title that will be displayed on your timeline and a longer description to detail everithing.

WORKOUTS
Keep your workout going by comparing your activity between weeks and months. Make sure you stay on top of your best weeks/months.

PHOTOS
Save your geolocation metadata to your photos (From the available location data you imported from other services, or by selecting it on the map).

To use this App, you can enable or disable the tracking when needed, import your GPX or Moves App data, or connect with at least one of the available services (If you do not have Swarm or Strava, you can download them on the AppStore for free). Moves is now discontinued, but if you have a backup of your data, you can import it in Quantified Map.

Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, issues or feature requests. I plan to add more features soon.

Your privacy matters, my goal with Quantified Map is to allow you to track and visualize all your data in one place. I do not collect personal info, every map is generated on your device.
The data you load or import from different services (like HealthKit, Moves app, Photos, Strava, Swarm, etc.) is yours and stays secure on your device at all times. At any moment you can delete all the data loaded by QuantifiedMap on your device.
With Quantified Tracking, your activity and places you visit will automatically be recorded locally on your device. Foursquare is used to name places on your timeline, some coordinates of visited places can be sent to Foursquare to name those places initially.

Best replacement for Moves and more

I had used this app to map data from Moves app for quite a while. Developer was responsive to requests for features.

When Facebook killed Moves app, Quantified Map was quickly updated to add collection and import of saved Moves app data. App has had a number of rapid updates to improve stability and capability

Best replacement for Moves out there. Low cost of operation and easy to use. I have tried several others and they, plus their support, have disappointed and cost too much battery to run.

Update Broke It

I have been using this app to track my daily walks for quite some time. I plan to walk all the streets within a 5 mile radius of my home. But 2-3 update ago, it stopped being able to refresh to import new walks that were recorded by apple’s workout app. The only way I can get new walks to show up is to 1) clear all cached data, 2) refresh activities (which always causes the app to crash if I’ve cleared the cache), 3) re-launch and then refresh activities once again. I have to do that every single day if I want to see that day’s walk. It used to work by simply choosing refresh activities, but something got broken in a recent update. I also find the night mode map to not have enough contrast. I can barely see the streets, especially the ones I have yet to walk. I wish there was a app-specific setting to disable night mode. Finally, I wish there was the standard compass needle icon that would zoom the map to my current location and display a dot to indicate where I am on the map. Sounds like it’s time for to to search for a better walk tracking app.

Developer Response ,

Sorry about this issue. :( The 3.6.3 Update is fixing this, you should be all set now. Thank for your support.

What’s the catch?

You don’t collect personal data and it’s free? It’s not open source, so it’s hard to verify the claim. I’d happily pay for a license, but it just seems too good to be true.
