Great practice for telling time

This app provides the user plenty of ways to practice telling time, from simple identification of the time on the clock in the beginning level, to elapsed time in the advanced level. There are 3 games that can be played, each with three levels of play--beginner, intermediate, and advanced. The app keeps track of the players time, so each player can try to beat their own best time by playing over and over again. Each player is only required to use a screen name to register. New avatars are unlocked as the player accumulates points. It is too easy, though, for a player to purchase another app created by this developer. I know there are ways to set restrictions to prevent this, but it doesn't keep me from disliking this feature enough to only give 4 stars instead of 5.

Beneficial classroom resource

This app includes the option to create many student profiles which would allow a teacher to track their students’ progress. There are three different games that build a student's ability to tell time. There is matching, manipulating a clock, and writing in times. All the activities focus on a different skill within the overall concept of telling time and all three contribute to a deeper understanding of the concept. Each game has three different levels of difficulty, which allows for differentiation in the classroom. The app is a very effective use of class time and by tracking student progress, the app holds students responsible for completing games.

My child can read clock, finally!

I really try to stay away from purchasing an app unless it's absolutely necessary. My 2nd grader's teacher told me he hasn't mastered how to read analog clocks! I got this app as a bundle. I am so glad I did. He uses his finger to turn the arms of the clock and changes AM to PM. He tries to beat his records and now knows how to read clocks. He learned very fast while having fun! This is a very well designed app.
