Quick Translate Pro 4+

I do a lot of business in China and have a need to translate a lot of chats and emails.

Most of the existing translators use Google Translate, most Google sites including the translate engine are blocked in China unless you use a VPN service to get around it. What makes Quick Translate Pro nice is you can still use the Google engine but it also has the Bing Translate engine which is not blocked in China. For the reviews that said it worked one time they may want to go to preferences and uncheck the Google engines to see if it works again.

If you want your choice of translate engines and have it work overseas this is the best option I have found, it works very well on the iPhone as well.

Translation is good enough to understand the meaning but writing any technical communication and translating it back to Chinese is not great, since I use this to handle quick communication only it does a great job, for technical I have my office overseas do the translations.

There is one feature I really wish this had, I use another application on my Mac called Translate, it has the ability to select text in any application, right click and translate, this is much faster then selecting text, copy, open Quick Translate Pro, paste then click translate. If QTP adds this feature it will replace my other translation apps on my Mac.

No bells or whistles, but works as advertised. I had purchase two previous translators prior this that were junk. I like that this translators also speaks the words.

I was tired of opening my browser and typing in google translate, this makes life much easier. It feels a bit sluggish as far as interface goes but its a tiny program that does what i need it to so five stars from me.
