Description

Quickly view a calendar of the current month from the menu bar. Today's date is highlighted in the current system preference highlight color. The week starts on the day selected by the 'First day of week' system preference.

Use the left and right triangle buttons to view previous and following months. Turn the week numbers on and off with the toggle menu item.

Looks great in either light or dark mode.

To make sure Quick View Calendar runs every time you log in or restart your Mac, add it as a Login Item.

It's so close to perfect... SO... close!

This is exactly what I want. It's everything it needs to be, nothing it doesn't. It should be PART of the OS like this. Except: for the love of all that's holy, add a bloody menu item toggle to auto-start the app on boot. I never remember to restart the thing, so the first time I need it following my semi-monthly reboots is alwaays a panicked scramble. I feel awful deducting a full star for it (the app is a 4.6 right now... add that and you're a 5 for sure).

Thanks for the feedback. You can add Quick View Calendar as a login item so it launches every time you restart your Mac: https://quickviewcalendar.com/#launch

Everything it should be and nothing more

This only shows the dates of a month. It operates from a menu bar item, where it mirrors the functionality of a Windows calendar view. The app's simple design and non-intrusive utility has become a necessity with my daily work!

With the scope creep of other calendar/to-do/reminder applications, it's nice to have a simple, minimalist app that folds into the native UI. Until we see OS support quick calendar display, this app will do nicely.

I Want to Hug the Developer

This app couldn't be more beauitfully simple! The file size is unbelievably small. That of course gives me confidence that the app does exactly what it's designed to do and nothing more. I don't have to worry that data is being mined and sold. I especially don't worry since a network connection is not needed. It's unobtrusive, barely uses any resources, and is prime example of amazing programming. Thank you so much for making this available!
