QuietCool Smart Attic Fan 4+

Bought one several years ago and have added 2 more, one in a rental vs adding air conditioning. Love the 3 speed settings along with customization of thermostat settings. Pretty much set n forget. Definitely a good investment.

I worry about the strength of the Bluetooth connection in certain parts of the house but that’s not the fault of this app, which has worked flawlessly so far and the connection is only necessary when monitoring the fan or checking/changing the presets. The user interface is tidy and well-designed and the range of options practical and intuitive. With the fan unit out of reach — to me — on the roof, the true test will be whether the app and the hardware stays rock-solid through the CA summer and for years to come. So far, so good.

This has to be the only app I’ve ever used (and I’ve used many) that only allows for triggering when the temp goes one way. I have the quietcool fan to COOL my garage…bringing in cool air in the early morning hours before the heat of the summer days. This app is so narrowly focused, not only is that not possible but you can’t even schedule to turn on at a specific time! Just a timer like I already had with the switch. If only they thought big enough to consider more than a very very narrow set of use cases. Totally worthless for me
