Great app

I like this app a lot so far. It is not too expensive & it helps with what it is supposed to. I do think that adding more features such as gamifying the experience & being able to keep track of your progress would add a lot of value to the app. Also it would be nice if there was some type of training or description for each frequency that would help me & others identity the different characteristics of different frequencies to know exactly what to listen for

Hi DJAlarco - thank you for the review and glad to hear you're enjoying Quiztones! Score tracking and gamifying things a bit more is high priority for us with upcoming features, so definitely stay tuned for that. Regarding frequency descriptions, I feel a bit hesitant to add too much there only because I think what might be most effective is allowing each person to evaluate frequency changes in their own way. One tip I could share though is using Practice mode to scan through each frequency change on a sound before doing a quiz, and to mentally make note of what "characteristics" or "personalities" come to mind depending on the frequency change and source material. Great app for the price

This had helped me a LOT. Not only can I determine frequency and gain changes much more easily after using it, I'm able to hear many suble differences in sound qualities that I couldn't before. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it would probably cut the time it takes to train your ears if it had an option to let the exercise keep playing until you tell it to go on to the next one. That way, you could hear the difference after you've already guessed it. That would really help to learn the differences more easily. The way it is now, it stops playing as soon as you guys correctly, so you don't get a chance to memorize how a particular change sounds. That's a pretty big oversight IMO.

Excellent for Audio Students!

I’m currently in school taking recording classes and we are supposed to be using the Golden Ears training program to study frequencies etc. That program is way too expensive for me and I can’t book studio time just to practice this. This app has been invaluable for identifying frequencies and pink noise/music EQ cut and boosts. Super happy with my purchase!
