Disabling iCloud

I also liked this app for a while, until it starting disabling iCloud on my kids’ devices. That also means find my iPhone was disabled. All email and location services were disabled. And they couldn’t update any apps and download anything since they couldn’t access iCloud. I emailed customer service over and over - about 10x at least, and they kept not solving it. Finally told me they sent it to their engineers and would get back to me. That was a month ago. I would up buying a new phone, thinking maybe that one was just glitchy, and created a new Apple ID. Same problem, so I emailed again. Same answer - sent to engineers and will get back to me someday. No refund offered, no idea when the phone will be usable.

Loving Qustodio. Outstanding support.

Qustodio is working very well for us with 2 child accounts across 2 PCs and 1 iPad. No issues, no glitches.

Within a certain daily time window (starting mid-morning, so my son doesn’t jump straight to electronics as soon as he wakes up; ending early evening so he is screen-free for some time before heading to bed), I wanted to give my son a limited amount of time per day for game play and video entertainment, but unlimited time for learning and exploration.

I couldn’t achieve this with a single child account, surmised that I might be able to achieve it with two child accounts, and reached out for guidance.

Qustodio Support was outstanding! They were empathetic, fully understood my request, and provided full, clear guidance (I set up PLAY and LEARN child accounts for him) that works perfectly.

I’ve been tweaking settings with my son, for example to make sure he can access educational sites he needs for school that present as Entertainment. Piece of cake. Working great.

I love the insight into his activities online, including seeing what his teachers have him doing on his laptop during school hours. Not that I monitor his every move. But just like we observe our kids’ behavior in the real world and perhaps lean in occasionally to provide positive reinforcement or coaching, it’s nice occasionally to be able to observe online behavior that largely happens out of sight.

Thank you, Qustodio!

WORST app ever - if I could give 0 I would

Honestly, I have never left a review for anything. I have never felt this negative about any app - even if it didn’t work. This ended up being days of pure torture. It took over my teenager’s phone...started just before 1st day of school. Perfect timing. It wouldn’t allow her access and would completely lock up - middle of the day during mornings and evenings - full access times. I changed all settings and deleted account. Spent way too much time researching just how to eliminate. No good help options. After all this still had complete control over this child’s phone. Far more stress than I would have ever anticipated. There are so many other decent apps to accomplish the same thing. Thought I would give this one a 3 day trial. Absolutely horrible. I never want to spend this much time on any app ever again. Do not go near this app. And certainly don’t download to your child’s phone.

If you send us an email at support@qustodio.com referencing this exchange, I can have someone get back to you with more detailed information and advice on getting the most from Qustodio. If you purchased a subscription and were unsatisfied we can also offer a refund. Thanks and sorry again, Rosie at Qustodio
