Your period: A natural non-invasive blood test

We started exploring the uses of menstrual blood with a team at Stanford University Hospital in 2014. We discovered nothing short of incredible: Period blood is not waste, it’s a unique opportunity to monitor your health as it contains a wide array of health markers.

In other words: Your body performs a natural blood test every month that doesn't require needles or doctor's appointments. Amazing, isn't it?

The Q-PadTM: Engineered to collect and analyze period blood

We've built a unique menstrual pad that captures and preserves period blood for medical analysis. It looks and feels like any regular menstrual pad, but inside you will find a paper-based strip embedded. After using the Q-Pad, you remove strip, place it in a secure container, and mail it to our laboratory for analysis.

Start using the Q-Pad

For Clinical Trial research, use the app to link your Q-Pad to your secure profile. We will send you blood test results and provide you with personalized health insights. If there is something out of the ordinary, you will be the first to know, and as we will always suggest actionable next steps or if necessary, offer follow-up testing. A certified Doctor reviews all test results and will contact you if there are any urgent results.

Not a diagnostic test

QvinTM offers access to laboratory testing for wellness monitoring, informational and educational use. The tests we offer are not intended to diagnose or treat disease. None of our tests are intended to be a substitute for seeking professional medical advice, help, diagnosis, or treatment. For regulatory reasons, our tests are not available in New York State.

You can import your data from Apple Health to Qvin. Go to Account tab and tap "Import" to start the process.

Qvin shows you the following data from the Health app (HealthKit):
- menstrual flow
- intermenstrual bleeding
- cervical mucus quality
- ovulation test result
- basal body temperature
- sexual activity
- weight

Menstrual blood for diagnosis

Super exciting service — way to take advantage of what has traditionally been considered a waste product, and instead use it to advance women’s health! Can’t wait to see where this goes.

Wonderful way to test blood, no fingersticks

This is such an easy process. I’m so happy they are able to test my blood this way. Thank you!!!
