QXPlayer Lite is an high quality player with iOS remote control (you can find this on AppStore "QXPlayer remote"). But playlists and metadata editor and streaming playing and more others you can be found in the paid version of QXPlayer.
This player based on custom audio engine that allows you enjoying high-quality music of various formats on your Mac. You will have full control over any of your audio files while utilizing the folder system that is in Finder.

Ratings and Reviews
Great player but watch for latency issues with intermediate sound drivers.
The interface is pleasant enough but it's a bit bulky.
I did discover that if you're using the Boom2 intermediate sound driver, it takes a few seconds for your audio track to start. I had to instruct the app to use the Mac OS sound system directly. (Which bypassed the issue.)
The app seems to have a lot of potential. We'll see where this goes.

Plug and play
I just installed this app after my other free app stopped working altogether on my Mac Air. It was a pleasant surprise to have found QX player. QX player was plug and play and very easy to learn how it works. I can enjoy my DSD files again and meets all my needs. Sounds great!
Simple, user friendly
Exactly what I was missing from Apple's offering. This app plays existing files on disk and it is simple to use. Does not force you to import the files into its own library, built in equalizer. Well done!
