Another solid upgrade

UPDATE: simulated opposing players have ridiculously low batting averages. The simulation engine in general isn’t giving me realistic results.

A stellar follow-up to last year’s big improvement. All the incremental changes are welcome (commentary, granular diffficulty adjustment, love the new camera angles). Still waiting on replays- that would make this game perfect.

Major Bugs!!!!!

Why are the base runners names on the opposite sides of the bases? There’s been so many times where I’d try to steal a base and nothing happens when I tap on the runner. Also when I have one or two runners in scoring position and get a base hit, the runner or runners do not advance when I hold the arrow to make them move which causes me to lose out on runs. I was so used to rbi 20 and this newer version turned out to be a huge downgrade. The pitches look super weird too. I’m still trying to get used to hitting. I spent half an hour trying to replicate the offense and defense settings from rbi 20 to this game by getting rid of all those camera angles that were unnecessary. They really need to fix those Houdini play glitches that make fielders teleport to the ball when they’re way out of range, that just looks ridiculous. I’m hoping an update comes soon because this game really needs it big time. I might as well go back to playing last year’s game.

Game still constantly crashes, though, even after the update. I’ve done everything asked by the game to prevent this on my end but it still crashes several times during a game. Hitting also seems more difficult than last years. I play on easy mode, 150% ball size, and have tried every batting position and style, and I basically have to guess and start swinging as soon the pitcher releases. Doesn’t help when even on easy mode the computer throws a lot of junk unhittbale pitches. Also, if you have a player like Justin Turner that crowds the plate, he will get beaned often. Bottom line though, the game play could be awesome, even on an Ipad or computer. However, I would recommend not buying this game until they guarantee the crashes will stop. I should have waited and continued to play 2020 which didn’t have the above issues.
