Ratings and Reviews
Really handy!
Works great to check lacing a wheel. I wish i had it for my 1st lacing! Stable too.
One suggestion would be to put a mark on the rim at the valve hole to help you see the valve location and make the key spoke a unique color from all others would really make this really helpful. For extra credit, label the “drive” side (assume a side even for the front) and maybe the first 9 holes from the key spoke to make this extra handy.
Easier said then done, right?
Developer Response ,
Thanks for your comment. To locate the valve hole, double-tap anywhere on the screen and the wheel will be set automatically with the hole on top and the drive side facing the user. To identify the drive side (apart from using a rear wheel or a front wheel with disc brakes) tap on the hub, and the wheel will rotate a full circle as it would while riding.
I guess the "key spoke" may mean different things to different people. I plan to experiment with allowing the user to annotate any spoke in some way. Stay tuned.
Great helpful app for bike wheels except for single speed bikes
I love this app. I’ve used it countless times. However I do think it needs improvement especially if you are building a single speed wheel with a coaster brake. Also allow people to choose ether a Cassette hub or Freewheel hub. Also I would like to see all the examples in the app when building with an asymmetrical rim. Otherwise I give the developer a lot of credit for making this app. Nice job!
It’s great. Some feature requests
- Would great if you could highlight a spoke
- Support for 16 and 20 spokes would alsobe great
- Add more colors (for each step)
- Make the valve hole a different color
- it’s sometimes hard to navigate the wheel. Maybe add buttons to change orientation
