Version 1.1 (build 3) Precipitation Intensity Guide — a new offline reference tells you what the radar colors actually mean. Open it from the "i" button on the map or from Settings > About. It shows the full 8-level NWS dBZ scale (Trace through Extreme), approximate rainfall rates, plain-English descriptions, and a palette-specific paint guide that maps your active color scheme's shades to intensity levels. Sourced from NOAA/NWS NEXRAD and the Wikipedia dBZ article. Entirely offline — no network needed. Distance Rings — optional dashed concentric circles on the radar map help you eyeball how far approaching precipitation is. Turn them on in Settings > Distance Rings and choose Close-in (25 / 50 / 100 mi) or Wide-area (50 / 100 / 200 mi). The unit follows your device locale automatically (miles or kilometres). Rings stay centered as you pan. Bug fix — switching the map layer (Radar / Satellite IR) in Settings now correctly rebuilds the frame list from the cached manifest immediately, rather than waiting for the next auto-refresh cycle.

Version 1.1 Saved Locations — bookmark any place for one-tap radar access. Search for a city, tap the bookmark icon next to a result, and it's saved. Open your bookmarks from the map with the bookmark button in the top bar. Rename or delete saved spots with a swipe. Satellite IR layer — switch between precipitation radar and satellite infrared directly from the map. The new Radar / Satellite IR toggle at the top of the screen shows cloud cover and storm tops without any precipitation filtering — especially useful at night or when radar coverage is sparse. The same toggle is also in Settings. Share current frame — tap the share button in the top bar to capture a snapshot of whatever is on your radar screen and share it via Messages, Mail, or any app. The timestamp and layer name are included in the share text so the recipient always knows what they're looking at. Plus: the layer mode setting appears at the top of the Settings sheet. Version info in About now reflects 1.1 (2).
