Description

Finally, an app that tells you what radio stations you ought to be able to hear on your FM dial if you turn your radio on! RadioLand uses a propagation algorithm to determine which stations you should be in range with, factoring in terrain and other obstacles, from either your device's current location, or search for any location in North America, Bermuda, or the Caribbean. Use our location search or select your location on a map. View listings in list view or map view. Coverage maps are available for U.S. stations. Interference analysis for stations with co-channel or adjacent channel interference. HD sub-channel format and slogan listings. NFL and MLB affiliate listings. Terrain profile view to view inhibiting terrain obstacles in between your location and the antenna of the signal in question. Wide variety of search options including search by frequency from location. Adjustable receiver height above ground level.

No app has more for FM radio signal reception in North America!

Accurate signal reception; formats mostly good

Tried this app when I was on the road and found it to be very accurate, especially with regards to signal strength. You’ll probably want to keep it on the default medium setting if you’re using a boom box or home receiver with an indoor antenna. The low setting will show more stations, which is particularly useful if your vehicle has an above average radio. I was getting a station out of Ft. Dodge IA and was 67 miles away yet the RDS was still decoding. The low setting list showed that station where the medium didn’t.

Only one minor flaw, there doesn’t seem to be a link to report incorrect information. There are some HD fed translators near me which show the format of the main program rather than the HD sub channel. Not bad enough to deduct a star but still worth mentioning.

Great app for broadcast FM radio!

Whether you are a radio geek, just trying to find radio stations in your area, or even a Broadcast Engineer, radio management or a DJ … this app cannot be beat. It's excellent in providing the Longley Rice contour maps, noting any potential interfering stations or HD carriers, etc. Very simple to look up call signs, stats on the stations, and so much more. For all this, you can't beat the price! A lot of time and effort has been invested with this application which many of us really appreciate.

Best App for Finding Local FM Radio Stations!

RadioLand is a fantastic app for discovering local FM radio stations! Its location-based feature makes finding stations nearby so easy, and the signal strength maps are spot on, helping me tune in clearly wherever I am. I love the detailed station info and the option to filter by music genre or frequency. Perfect for travel or just exploring what’s playing locally. Highly recommended for any radio fan!
