Does not recognize checks

This app is *specifically* made to deposit checks and it does not work. I have been trying for the last 10 minutes to scan one check and it will not recognize it- this happens 80% of the time I try to scan a check with this app.
I place the check on a plain dark surface, I flatten it, I make sure everything lines up, I’ve even tried using the app on different devices in case it was my phone camera. Nope. Just the app not doing what it was designed for.
Not only have I wasted the last 10 minutes trying this, I’ve wasted time writing this review, and I have to waste more of my time calling our department (and be on hold) to try and process the check a different way so I can continue on with my work day.
Very, very frustrating and disappointing.

Buggy all the time. However this one is new

I can’t sign into the app because it tells me I have to update. I go to the App Store and it doesn’t even give me the option to update. Nor does it reference the release version that the app did when it wouldn’t let me login. The app says 3.0.7 but the release in App Store is only 3.0.6

Usually it let me log in but just crashes, insists I scanned the check wrong or various other issues that require me to keep scanning or manually entering the totals over and over again.

Image capture is awful

*** Updated Review - The updated image capture feature has resolved all issues I’ve had in the past with this app. All features are easy to use and deposits are completed quickly.

My company switched to this app recently and while there some positive features, the image capture component is incredibly poor. Nearly every check deposit requires multiple attempts which is both tedious and time consuming. Recently announced upgrade to improve this problem has so far not done so.
