RagaSudha will allow you to play hundreds of Carnatic and Hindustani ragas (Indian classical music) on several instruments without hitting a wrong note and with your eyes closed – come and experience its simplicity and brilliance. Leave, being faithful to the raga to the app!!! You just can’t make a mistake!!! And can now focus on the emotion of the raga.
You can then tease your brain with tala/ rhythm and tempo. Come and enjoy what has taken centuries to create. You no longer have to envy those who are innately talented.
Choose the raga and instrument you want to play and yes, begin playing like a pro, well almost. You can slide octaves, stress on notes, set number of beats and tempo and have a metronome accompany you. You can demo ragas, look up obscure ragas and compare them. You can also record and share on popular networking sites or gift the app to someone you know will like it better than you;
And now we present TalaSangati, for stand alone use or as integrated with RagaSudha. This new app, TalaSangati will accompany you faithfully and help you keep in line with the tala and tempo you have chosen. Its innovative hand gestures and metronome count for Karnatic talas and bol with metronome for Hindustani tals will ensure adherence to the avarthanam/ cycle, allow you to combine multiple cycles while you explore the raga you are playing to the fullest.
All 35 talas of the Suladi Sapta Tāla system are available as well as eleven Hindustani tals.
The apps are so simple that you don’t need a manual – and so we have not written one. You can show off too but do it quickly as you will soon have competition. Help us improve, write to us at RagaSudha101@gmail.com .
For those who are expert we welcome your critique and hope it will at least serve as a ready reckoner &/or a useful gadget to improvise on the go and we seek your indulgence while the others try to catch up.

Good start, more raags needed
I am happy that this concept is being developed. This could be a very nice reference for those who who seek orientation to Hindustani music. Please developers further. I would have rated this app much lower for its content, but I want to encourage the developer, so I am giving it four stars.
Potentially very good app, keep going
Extremely great concept. Will rate higher with following. App needs ability to remember and open with last played instrument and Raga/Tala/bpm. also why would you strip away piano from paid version? It would be nice to add pakad to Raga "PlayDemo".
In app purchase for one or two additional ragas (over the few that come with the app) would be much better if you gave more than just two. Possibly selling them as groups of perhaps 10, maybe by Thaat. Having to rotate device to get to settings is awkward. The toggle feature and rate control for simply repeating notes is not important & takes valuable real estate you could use to include info about the Raga or access to instrument/Raga/tala change. The developer has an excellent idea here and mostly good interface and quality. I support going further with it and hope it gets updated. Midi controlable would be icing on the cake.
Wonderful app for music students!
I am happy to be the first one reviewing this app with great potential. Needs more features like the ability to be able to fix your own notes for any raga of your choice, info on how to use the stress. It would be great if you can choose what kind of gamakam to add to a note. Harmonium would also be a welcome addition.
keep improving on this great concept. Good luck!
