No Email Option When creating account ? Dealbreaker

Why wouldn’t you allow an email address to be used when creating an account? I’m not giving this app access to use my iTunes or google accounts just to find a boat ramp. Update: Had to use an iPad to find the email sign up instead the iTunes and google options that are shoved in your face on the iPhone. Now going through the “configuration” of the app why not just ask for my social security # too? You have to input all sorts of measurements and give access to your camera and photos. WHY? I’m just looking for a boat ramp. Why do you need to make a simple task so invasive? Just show me where the ramp is. Maybe throw in what size boats can be dropped at that ramp. You don’t need pictures of my boat, truck or trailer for that. Remember the simplest principle, KISS

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience. Yes, we do offer an email signup option on the welcome screen (first screen after opening the app), which is automatically selected by default. On the “Create Account” screen, you can easily create an account by entering your email, password, and password confirmation and tap on the “Next Step” button.

The Apple ID and Google ID options are convenient alternatives for one-click sign-ups. We have hundreds of users who have successfully signed up with their email addresses, and we kindly ask you to reconsider your rating, knowing this option is available.

We apologize for any confusion during your setup process. After successfully logging in via email or your Apple/Google ID, the next step in the setup process will only require your name. If you would like to learn more about the additional features of Ramp Assist, such as the “Boat Loading” feature, which requires boat measurements to update the algorithm and camera access to track your boat trailer for positioning and providing accurate steering and throttle recommendations, please visit www.ramp-assist.com or reach out to our support team for a quick video demonstration.

However, if you only intend to use the boat ramp locator, check the weather and tide, and monitor boat ramp traffic, all we need from you in the initial setup is your name and location access. Deceiving

Not what I thought. Laying out my info.. for inaccurate boat ramps. Meaning I have input my boat info. Thinking that it’s calculating the specific Boat ramp for the size of my boat that is allowed for which lake/pond can be placed in.. and info on private/public marinas ramps is very vague and not listed… not impressed with this app at all..!!!
A get that boat info is for the boat assist. It would be awesome if we all have great cellular service (5 super G).. everywhere. But hey!! The how to videos are great….should read the reviews before downloading app…!! Not my cup of tea!!!
