Good performance and has all the information laid out concisely.
Much better performance than the web version provided.
As a new student, this app could use improvements
Sorry to be negative, but this app could REALLY use a current location feature or a “find route” feature of some sort. Maybe it’s just me who is bothered by this. I’m not familiar with the area at all, and sometimes I have events/tests on campus that stray me from my usual places. When you’re in a rush and you don’t know where you are or how to get where you need to go it’s inconvenient to have to switch between this and google maps. If this app could pinpoint my location so I can easily see the nearest bus stop and/or give me the option to put in two locations and get some bus route options, that would be worth 5 stars to me. Otherwise the features it does have are somewhat helpful if you give yourself time to study them and figure out your best option.
Useless Route Info, Bad Battery Performance, Outdated Info
This app will smoke your battery life like a cigarette. In order for it to show you a “live” view of the routes, it probably re-renders the map every nanosecond, which really takes a hit on battery life. Just showing an eta would be more usefully honestly.
Of course I wouldn’t mind if it gave me useful information, but instead it prioritizes the bus number over the route it’s actually serving on the pin, and with so much information on the map as it is, showing the route number would be more effective. There are so many overlapping routes that it is impossible to tell which bus serves which route, and all you get is a useless bus number that isn’t associated to any particular route, and probably changes day to day as they are needed. The coloring schemes are difficult to distinguish between pink, slightly more pink, red, etc... anyway and overlap horrendously.
Just show the route number please, the bus number is useless info, along with the coloring scheme.
The route info on the static route PDFs tab is also outdated and does not reflect current bus routes, while the website shows up to date information.
As it is, this app will put you on a bus to Mars if you’re not careful, and should be avoided by newcomers to uark. Using the website version is more effective at this point.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
