RecMacros is a super straightforward keyboard macros tool for text files, saving you hours of time on tedious tasks.
RecMacros works by allowing you to use your keyboard to navigate and edit text while recording your operations. From there, simply click the record button, and playback your recorded macro as much as you'd like. You can start off by opening a text file that you already have, such as a HTML file or a Swift file. You can even start off by pasting your code in a new document. You can even save your macro for future use. Its as easy as that and can save you hours!

dumb text tricks, not keyboard macros
If you were looking for keyboard macro software, keep looking. This basically only allows you to perform repetitive tasks on text only withing the application's window. You can't record a key sequence and assign it to Modifier key combos for other software. That's what I was looking for.
Terrible
This is just a repeat "paste" of text within the app itself. Dumb. It is not a macro, does not record keystrokes or mouse clicks for repetition in other apps, does not provide meaningful help, no contact links. Horrible.
