The Redding Record Searchlight Print Edition lets you read Redding Record Searchlight on your iOS device just as it appears in print. You can flip through pages and skim headlines as you would the printed edition. But better than that, the Redding Record Searchlight Print Edition allows you to enlarge type with the tap of a finger, or jump instantly to the conclusion of a story on another page. You can link to websites mentioned in stories with a single touch, or fire off an e-mail to an address linked from the newspaper. And if you missed the paper one day, don't worry. The Redding Record Searchlight Print Edition lets you download past editions, too.

Reacquainting with long ago hometown paper

Yes my first 19 formative years were that of Redding and I delivered R.S. Paper daily for about 3 of those, you see. Anyhoo I enjoy getting the 'flavor' of my hometown now 53 years hence through the R.S. The front page, local sports, opinion page & funnies are my staple. The price is right and I just likes it.

Frequently locks up

If there was another local paper I’d get it instead. I read the LA Times and SF Chronicle on my iPad with no issues. With this, if I touch the article to expand it, my iPad frequently locks up. Neither closing the app or even powering down the iPad helps. So I never intentionally expand articles, but of course, from time to time, my finger lingers on an article accidentally and it expands and the app locks up. It reopens with the locked screen no matter what I do to try and clear it. After about half an hour I can open it again with a refreshed screen. So frustrating!!!

Easy to use

Enjoy reading the news from my phone. Appreciate the ability of sending articles to someone and often to myself for further review. Has made it easy to keep up with the local news.
