    The Mexican Minecrafter

    I don’t mind having red canoe because the bank itself hasn’t done me any wrong since I first got them. They don’t charge you if you overdraft on your checking, they just pull out of your savings. I like that. Also: their latest update to the app made it super easy to transfer between member accounts. I am Mexican so my family is always sending and receiving money from each other, which was somewhat time consuming before but now it’s streamlined. I like that. Good app, good bank as far as I know. What more could you want?

    This app functions, it does the things it's supposed to do, but it could do them better. I usually have issues with it being slow, I feel like it takes around 30 seconds to complete a transfer after pressing submit. Also, it wastes screen space when looking at an account detail screen. Each transaction takes up more screen space than it should, and it only loads five at a time. I use my debit card for everything, sometimes I have more transactions than that in a single day. If I need to look through a large number of transactions, I usually skip the app and load the desktop version of Red Canoe's website instead.

  • This app is the worst banking app out there

    This app is the worst. It’s like only one person developed this and they work out of his/her parents basement circa 2008. It’s slow, doesn’t have a lot of the modern functions (the ones it does have seldom work), only allows some types of transfers due to it being outdated, it crashes/freezes often, and most banking functions take forever to verify. Very few updates, or consideration for customer complaints and urged updates. You can’t even transfer to another Red Canoe member using the app... smh. I’m a hobbiest web developer and programmer and I’m pretty sure I could build a better working, more modern app than this. If I were Red Canoe’s administration I’d contract new developers, cause this is just sad. I have 5 or 6 banking apps, this by far is the worst made and functioning.

    I do like this app a lot. It has treated me well during my 7-10 years of banking here, and I have seen a lot of improvement in it. I love all the new features and improvements they’ve rolled out over the years. Only thing I would say is that sometimes the app does tend to be a little slow, but I don’t mind waiting for it to load sometimes. It’s not as slow/bad as people here seem to make it out to be.

    I was able to get Touch ID working my again. I had to delete the app restart my phone and reinstall. Then when I logged in and reregistered it gave me the option to turn on Touch ID. Weirdly before I did the delete and reinstall it had the login name on one page then went to a different page with the password and even though I had deregistered my device it never gave me the option to register it again. On another note, how come we don’t have Apple Pay yet? It’s almost 2018.

    Not sure why all the negative reviews as it has always Worked flawlessly for me. Love the quick balance feature! Works with new face Recognition which makes it even easier.
