A little glitchy

I would consider this app as a very good chess app, it serves its purpose well, however, their is a glitch that happens occasionally when I submit my move. It says that my move is illegal, the same as it would if the move were actually illegal. This is not a deal breaker for me as it does not affect move submission. Anyways, I wrote this review in hopes of it being fixed, so devs, if you see this, please do consider fixing this.

I have been a Red Hot Pawn member for more than a decade, and I am pleased with the recent release of a dedicated iOS app. It is nice to have the option of using the website or the app. You'll find plenty of opponents from beginners on up. Games can be simple one-of invites to friends (or members for the community from around the world!), but there are also options for tournaments and leagues ("clans"). The app interface is clean and usable, and like the website I expect continual improvement and added features. To set expectations, users should understand correspondence chess is generally not played in one sitting, and games typically are completed over hours, days or months.

This app works great. Well designed IMO and plenty of features. An example: conditional moves, so that you can say "if he goes here I will go there". Also a decent rating system. One feature missing that I would like to have-a way to email a completed game. You can email a screen shot of the final position but not the moves. Two thumbs up!

Been playing RHP for years only because there was not a subscription needed to play up to twelve games. Now it’s down to six games for a non subscriber. Guess it’s always about the money. I do like the ease of navigating through the ads without the hassle other sites make you go through.

For player's with accounts over 10 years old, concurrent games are reduced to six games. This is not the case for new members. Unfortunately, running an "always on" service which needs constant maintenance, development, and support is very expensive, not to mention over 10 years of retaining your game data, so saying its "always about the money" is grossly unfair.The app, ad free, and virtually unlimited games is *10 cents* a day. A coffee a day might cost you 40 times as much.
