Description

The referee timer with activity tracking for your Apple Watch!

Create different presets for senior or junior matches on your iPhone and use them on Apple Watch for your next match.

During the match, your steps, distance traveled, calories burned and heart rate are recorded. This happens automatically so that you can concentrate on your match.

After the match you will see all recorded values in the Referee Watch App and in the official "Activities" and "Health" App. If your Apple Watch supports GPS*, you will also receive a map including the route you ran during the match.

Simple is better

Updated idea: After about 30 more matches and 4 over this past weekend at a playoff tournament, and me recommending the app to 4 other referees, I have another suggestion. This as to do with the visibility of the timers and space on the watch face. While refereeing I have never made use or even looked at the heart rate or distance covered information. My suggestion is to remove them to provide more space for larger numbers with the timers. I really like getting a record of all the health information, but I review that after the matches. Not during.

Looking forward to the new version in the works.

I’ve used this app for about 20 matches now and I really like it. It does the core function of keeping time quite well. Other apps have all sorts of additional functions such as keeping track of the score, cautions, etc. but the last thing I want to be doing is standing on the pitch fiddling with my watch while everyone is waiting for the match to resume. Writing down goals or disciplinary actions isn’t so hard I need an app for it.

My one suggestion is to try and get the numbers as large as possible. Use up every bit of real estate on the watch face. And if the added time function isn’t selected it would be nice if the count down timer had somewhat larger numbers. Otherwise, nice app!

Thank you for your honest feedback! That's exactly the idea behind the app. Simple timekeeping with statistics on athletic activity. We are currently working on a new, improved version, with new features. Coming later this year. Stay tuned!

Simple and effective

Super reliable app, used this for about ten games now and it’s worked perfectly for starting/stopping the clock in my intensive league that requires stoppages on every goal/caution/etc. The presets are great and extremely helpful in making everything smooth at game time and giving me one less thing to worry about.

Two small UI QoL features that I would love:
- Option to show distance traveled in miles
- in completed matches, showing the name of the preset used. I ref at a lot of different levels and have presets for each, even down to if I'm AR or Center. It would be cool to track how much im running in each role/league vs other games in that role/league

Good Ref App

Lets you configure for multiple levels of games for ease of timing. Tracks everything you could want, but it eats battery, so if you’re working a lot of consecutive games, make sure you’re charged up.
Otherwise, I’ve used it at over 180 games in the past year, with only 2 “hiccups”.
